BIRMINGHAM, AL – Authorities have identified a man who was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking on a Birmingham interstate early Wednesday morning.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the victim was 32-year-old Kaleb Dorsett Timmons, a resident of Birmingham. The incident occurred at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Interstate 20 westbound, between Oporto Madrid Boulevard and First Avenue South.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates stated that Timmons was walking in the travel lanes when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver immediately stopped at the scene and called 911 for emergency assistance.
